Hello, and welcome to episode 245 of the good girls get rich podcast. I’m your host, Karen Yankovich. And if you didn’t listen, last week, you’re gonna want to go back and do that. But I’m going to recap a little bit. I am so excited about all the amazing energy. And Karen Yankovich Ville and linked she’s linked up world around our new LinkedIn Success style quiz that we just released. It is been so much fun to be talking to all of our students, and all of our all of all of you know, people on my Facebook group and all people across our community around their LinkedIn Success style, because here’s what I know. What I know is that there are definitely some wrong ways to do LinkedIn strategy. But there’s also a lot of right ways. There’s not one style that fits everyone. And that is one of the reasons why we’ve created this quiz. Because, you know, we do our best to customize your strategy and our shoes linked up program. So that when we create strategy, it’s a strategy that will work for you, right? Everybody has a different strengths and weaknesses. And we want to bring those strengths to your LinkedIn and PR strategy. And we want to minimize your weaknesses, right? We want to, we want you showing up with your best foot forward. That is how we’re creating more wealthy women in the world. Right. And that is what I stand for here. But within that, you know, there’s more, there’s more discerning we can do. LinkedIn is our money tree. Let’s make it as fun and empowering and simple as we possibly can. And let’s let’s feel into it in a way that has us truly enjoying the work we do there. And building relationships with people, we cannot believe we’re in our lives, right? So really, really exciting. Okay, so today, we are going to be talking about our empowers. And I want to talk a little bit about I want to help you understand this empower. First and foremost, our powers are not just any entrepreneur, right there. They’re visionaries, you’re, you’re a visionary, you’re a leader, you’re a trailblazer, you don’t leave any stone unturned, right? You want to inspire others, and make a difference. So listen closely, my Empower friends, because your strengths are incredible. You’re visionaries, you see the potential and the big picture that others miss, you have this unique ability, almost like a little internal crystal ball, to foresee the future of your industry and to to lead the people around you, your team, your clients, or your family right towards this future. And there’s more to this right as an empower you are a fantastic communicator, you’ve got a knack for speaking to people in a way that not only get your point across, but also resonates with them on a really on a deep level. Right. This is not a skill to take lightly. This is not something that many people are good at. Right? It’s one of your superpowers. And it can genuinely shift your game, your marketing game on LinkedIn. You’re an inspiration. You lead by example, you motivate you inspire your team and others to achieve their best, you have a gift to transform ordinary into extraordinary write and guide others to get to their highest potential. So empowers while you’re out there changing this world one day at a time. Remember that these are strengths you can bring to your LinkedIn and PR strategy to bring your vision to life to bring your vision to this beautiful new world of networking. And he’s these people that you haven’t even met yet on LinkedIn and maybe people that you’re already connected to there. Right. So let’s talk a little bit about what your strategy might look like on LinkedIn. Right? You want to have a personal brand that really inspires and motivates others. You want to have a strategy that communicate your vision, right? And you want to have you want to be compelling and engaging with your connections and leveraging LinkedIn features really effectively. So one of the things you want to make sure you’re doing is remember that you can be used Seeing this this empowered energy that you have with some narrative driven storytelling type posts, share experiences, share lessons learned. These are things that engage your audience at a deeper level. Right, you can talk a little bit about your professional journey. And that journey is so powerful that journey talking about your journey and your LinkedIn profile, because it’s showcasing the real you, you want to make sure that you are also spilling that over into highlighting the personal growth and ambitions and beautiful skills and, and traits of your network, endorse them, recommend them, your words can inspire and motivate them. So let’s make sure that you’re being generous with that, those endorsements and that and that generosity of recommendations. You want to make sure you’re engaging with your network, if they’re talking about a story, share your point of view, certainly, if you know, share your point of view and conversations and engage with your network in that in that meaningful way. Incorporate story into your things like your product launches or your services, tell us a little bit about why you created them. Right, these are the strategies I want you to use on LinkedIn, because this is what showcases your best side use video, right? This video, the power of videos is going to be really important for you because it’s personal, it’s that real, you can shine that empowered light on your network with those videos. And you know, remember too, that LinkedIn is publishing feature is is made, its then some people say is the number one content hub on the internet, the entire internet, right? So use it write some longer form content about your journey or some motivational pieces to empower other people. And don’t forget about that networking, right, connecting with people who resonate with this empowering style and, and that you can inspire with your stories in your style. Remember, the key to your success here lies in the inspiration that you bring inspiring others with your stories and your experience. So you don’t want to just showcase what you’ve achieved. You want to showcase what you’ve achieved, but you don’t want to just do that. You also want to empower others to reach their own goals. You know, I always want to talk about public relations as it relates to our strategy on LinkedIn. But I think this is a way underused LinkedIn strategy. And that is, you know, as you’re connecting with the journalists that write about the kinds of things that you do as you are engaging with them, build your story into their stories, right. If you see a story that a journalist has written for a publication, that’s, that’s important to you, then connect with them, talk to them, use, you know, use the story that you have that’s related to their story, and share what they’ve done. Again, in that inspirational powerful way, you now you’re bringing these journalists into the world of your network, which they appreciate and they’re gonna want more of and they’re going to bring, hopefully, then that’s going to help you build relationships with them, so that they start using you as a source for their stories, right? If you’re pitching them use those stories, right? This PR can extend your influence and inspire a really big audience for you. So share, you know, share these stories. When you’re creating a PR strategy that goes with your LinkedIn strategy. Does that make sense? All right, so let me just remind you, my beautiful Empower friends that your power lies in your heartfelt and inspiring narratives. But you also want to make sure that you’re striking the right balance, right? And remember that you want to balance inspiration with information, right? Because you’re inspiring stories can motivate people, but like you don’t you want clear actionable information in there as well. Right? I want you to build in that storytelling, but sometimes you may want to build in a little bit more, build a little data or straightforwardness into your approach. Again, these are just some challenges that I see some of the powers do, we want to showcase your stories, but we don’t want to, we don’t want to make sure that we don’t want to lose the emphasis on the purpose of those stories. Right. One of the other challenges that we find our powers have, is having a little bit of vulnerability striking the right balance between sharing personal stories, right? Because that requires a certain level of openness that might not always be comfortable or suitable for all scenarios, right? So you want to share that right balance of vulnerability as you’re moving forward. You want to maintain your authenticity, right, the need to continually produce inspiring content could put some pressure on you, right, your authenticity is more valuable than anything else that we’re doing here. Right? So we want to just remind ourselves, not to overthink, you know the inspiration part of this and to just show up being you. And also remember to you don’t want to be overly idealistic. You want to address the hard realities, that can present a challenge to the people that you’re inspiring, right. So. So these are, the good news here is that you have some challenges with your LinkedIn strategy, but these are surmountable challenges, they offer opportunities for growth because this the strategies around this that address the challenges that my empowers have with LinkedIn is also these are, these are your the growth that you’re going to have is going to help you across all of your marketing, frankly, probably across all of your life. So kind of balancing your inspirational content with clear actionable advice and maintaining your authenticity and, and maybe sometimes even sharing the less glamorous aspects of your business, it can help you navigate these challenges. You know, I want to talk a little bit about the mindset challenges that you might have with this too, because a lot of the work that we do in our shoes linked up programs are through identity shifting, you know, I sit here and like say I want more wealthy women in the world, but what happens when you you know what, every time you go from $100 to $1,000, or $1,000 to $100,000 to a million dollars, your identity shifting, right, your identity shifting and are all the strategy in the world isn’t going to get you where you want to go if your mindset is stuck, right? So my empowers you have some mindset challenges as well. And, but remember, these are all so these are all surmountable, you know, your charisma is your superpower, but you also have to stay genuine. Okay, you have to balance your ego, right, as a leader, you’re in the spotlight. And it can be easy to let your ego slip in unnoticed. So, so you’ve got to have a grounded mindset, right, your vision is always going to be bigger than you, right, your your needs to be bigger than your you want your vision to be bigger than you. But you have to stay grounded so that you can get there. Right. You also want to remember that with from a mindset perspective, you’re the CEO of your world. So in addition to all of this beautiful, inspirational story that you’re doing, you need to be consistent with the ideas and the plans, right, so your message doesn’t get lost, right, you want to make sure that your communication remains clear and consistent. But but you’ve got to, you’ve got to be open to all of the tasks. And that’s why by the way, I say, let’s get to the big fat contracts, you can pay people to help you with these things, right? There’s a big elephant in the room to my power of friends. And it’s criticism. It’s an inevitable part of being in the public eye. Remember that every piece of feedback is a chance to grow. Somebody told me one time that if your podcast or anything you have has nothing but five star reviews, and it’s bullshit. Because there’s always somebody that doesn’t resonate with you. Alright, and that was really eye opening to me. Because that was saying to me, okay, all right. So now what, and I get that and I want that that’s why I do this podcast, by the way. Because if you hear me talking at 100 miles an hour, you either gonna resonate with that or not. And it’s okay if you don’t, and if you criticize me for that, I’m learning how to be okay with that. But what it’s doing is it’s helping me attract the exact right people to me. But what happens with that discernment, sometimes comes some criticism. So keep your focus on your vision, and learn from the critiques and understand that it’s a part of being in the public eye. And, you know, don’t forget to about yourself in this whole process with your mindset. You know, yes, you are a powerhouse of motivation. But remember, you have to motivate yourself to don’t overlook the self care and the self promotion and those go hand in hand with this journey. So one more fun thing that we’ve added into our success styles journey here in our shoes linked up world is you know, my my personal background I in addition to be doing LinkedIn strategy or just loving marketing stuff energy, which is really what I’ve always built my business around in my personal life. You Some of you may know this, some of you may not I am a Reiki Master, I’m a dream coach certified dream coach. I don’t really use those in my business, but they were all a part of who I am. So we incorporated what I wanted to do with this success styles is incorporate some of that. So we’ve incorporated a I did some research and I have come up with a, a crystal to associate with each success style to bring you the most success to your world. And this crystal you can stick it in your pockets to get in your bra have a beautiful one sitting on your desk, right but it’s a crystal that will help you embrace the energy that is going to help you get more successful and for my empowers that crystal is the lapis lazuli. And this is because the Lapis Lazuli is a stone that it’s known for stimulating wisdom and good judgment. In like a practical world. It helps you with intellectual analysis, problem solving, creating new ideas. And all of these can be really beneficial for you as an empower as you strategize your LinkedIn strategy. It’s also a powerful crystal for activating the higher mind and enhancing your intellectual ability. Right, it stimulates the desire for knowledge and truth and understanding. And it helps you with the learning process. And I know my powers are all about learning more about getting better at this stuff, right? These traits align so well with your vision as an empower, because you’re a visionary, and your leadership characteristics. And this this, this lapis lazuli crystal just kind of enhances all of that. Right. It’s also known for enhancing communication. So it can be a serious, powerful aide for your PR strategy, where clear and powerful communication is so important. It’s also said to bring in harmony in your relationships. Obviously, we’re talking about relationship marketing on LinkedIn. And you know, ultimately, the lapis lazuli crystal is also considered a stone of truth. It encourages honesty of the spirit, and that aligns so much with your need as an empower for authenticity and integrity in your journey of inspiring others. So Empower is go out there, find yourself a beautiful lapis lazuli, Crystal, maybe you want to get it in some jewelry or bracelet, and just let it enhance everything you do in your work and in your life.
