So you know I if you’ve listened to the show for a while, you know that if even go back, going back to episode number one, right? I grew up in the 70s. And women were not in as strong of an income position as they are now. And it was just, it was just assumed, you know, I mean, it’s not even I think it was in those years. And I was too young to be doing this. But women needed to get their husbands or man to sign on for their credit card or mortgage. So I had a lot of like mind trash that I had to overcome, to get to the point where I could confidently step into a role of No, I can do this, I can have a million dollar business, I can have a million dollar bank account, I can do this. So that’s why I do this for you. Because it’s not it, we shouldn’t have to do it alone, right? When we are surrounding ourselves with the kinds of people that think that as big as we think that helps all of us. And I see so much. You know, on the online marketing industry, I see so many people teaching, you know, I can’t wait to have a six figure business. And I love that that’s goal number one. But that really needs to be goal number one, that can’t be your Well, I guess it could be your top goal if you’re just looking to have a little extra cash. But if you’re looking to actually be able to comfortably and abundantly support yourself and have enough leftover to be able to make an impact in the world, you need to think bigger because a six figure business is not the same as a six figure paycheck. Right? A six figure paycheck goes in your in your bank account, a six figure business, you’re paying all your overhead, you’re paying all that seven, you pay taxes either way. So there’s a you know, let’s just call that even. But there’s, you know, if you want to create wealth for yourself, and wealth for your family, you need to be thinking a little bit bigger. And that’s what I’m here for. In our choosing to up community. All of them are thinking bigger our goal is, you know, I know many of them are not there yet. But we’re here to support women that are thinking, I you know, my goal is minimum quarter million dollar years. And that’s what that is there for you too. I promise you that is there for you too. And that’s why I focus on LinkedIn, because that’s where the opportunities are. But you have to believe that you can do that. Right. Theodore Roosevelt said, Believe you can and you’re halfway there. So when you’re surrounding yourself with people that believe you can’t get to how would you think the odds are of it actually happening? Right? You’ve got to surround yourself with people that believe you can you have to believe that this is there for you. Tapping into this mindset can help you make the exact right connections, and have the exact right conversations with those connections that can help take your business to higher levels. I work with my clients who think big right at the very beginning of my program. I mean, the very first thing we do is we have a call where I get on the phone with every single person that joins our shipping program. And I’m like, let’s, let’s I want to think about what your minimum five or 10k opportunity is. And often they’re like I don’t have one I’m like yeah, let’s create one. And we can we do every single time I have yet to speak to some Somebody that we haven’t been able to create a very doable, sellable and rollable, you know, contractible package no matter where they are in their business journey, that’s at least five or $10,000. And that’s what we shoot for as we take them through our process in the program. Because when we’re working on LinkedIn, we’re looking for those bigger opportunities. That’s where LinkedIn, that’s LinkedIn sweet spot, right? Often they come to me, these women come to me, and they have a small offering. And I think about Claire, who came to me, and she said, she has, she’s working with, she wants to work with corporations, and it was going to be a $5,000 off the offer. And she said, I know you’re gonna want it to be 10,000. So let’s just go with 10,000, right from the beginning, and I said, Okay, that’s cool. I’m good with that. And then we’ve created a 10k offer that she can offer to corporations. And then I said to her, what if it was 20k, and she’s like, wow, then then I’d be able to offer things I’d be able to do, I think was testing, you know, for individual employees and give more support to individual employees, I can go to their site. I mean, she started rattling off all the other things she’d be able to do at the higher price point. And it was like, well, doesn’t that sound amazing? Now you need less contracts to hit your income goals. There, your individual clients are getting way better value out of you. Because you’re you’re delivering at a much higher level than you were when you came into this call thinking it was a 5k opportunity, right? So it’s not like just charge more money. It’s like what happens when you think bigger with these packages. Okay, so I help our students see how they can turn their small packages into a big attractive package that can bring in more contracts, often without a whole lot more work to be honest. And then these the powerful, brilliant, knowledgeable, creative souls in our program. They have to change their mindset, though, to value themselves in their contributions to get to that. It’s not always the it’s usually once we get to that, and we have like, say, a 20k offered now we got to work on their mindset, because now they’re like, I don’t know how you can say that number I don’t like you got to say 20k. Like you say, please pass this. All right. And I know that LinkedIn is the place where those millionaires are made. Okay, because at the end of June of 2021, there were 756 million LinkedIn users with 310 million monthly active users. Okay, stick statistics like that. They also show that 17 million opinion leaders and 10 million C level executives are on LinkedIn. Okay, the people that the decision makers, the people that sign your contracts, your 20k contracts are on LinkedIn. And you know, here’s the other thing, and this is important. So really pay attention here. Maybe get your pen out 89% of b2b marketers rely on LinkedIn for lead generation. Okay. Think about this. If you are thinking I’m not b2b and b2c, I’m a yoga teacher, I’ve got pens, I sell this product. How do you think people became millionaires by selling pens or teaching yoga classes, it’s not one person at a time, even though your product or your offering might be b2c b2b opportunities, like who’s the distributor that wants to buy 10,000 of your pens, or who is going to livestream your yoga classes to their entire corporate network, right, or who’s going to bring you on to speak on their stage for $10,000 or teach yoga at their corporate retreat. These are how b2c people become millionaires, not by selling one yoga class or one pen at a time. So even if you’ve got a b2c offering, you still have to have a b2b mindset to hit that quarter million dollar half a million dollar million dollar goal. Does that make sense? Your people are on LinkedIn for these opportunities. So let’s talk a little bit about what you need to have so that you can start preparing for your million dollar year, your first million dollar year, your second maybe your 10th, right, first thing you need to do is it starts with it starts with you. It starts in your head, it starts in your mind you you have to believe in yourself, you know, positive self talk, if you don’t believe yet, and acknowledge that you’re willing to believe you know, you acknowledge that you’re willing to believe in yourself, okay, be open to the possibility of believing in yourself. You have to, if you don’t really truly 100% believe this is going to happen, it’s probably not going to happen. Okay, you know, here in our program we like to have we like to you know, we have our our soundtrack of fabulous we you know, what makes you feel fabulous, you know, writing out lists of what your talents or your passions or your strengths or your interests are 50 stacks of these things, long term goals, short term goals, review them regularly review what makes you different than everyone else review that makes you a mate, what makes you amazing, you know, if people are writing your LinkedIn recommendations, drop them in a you know, print them and drop them in a box, you know, have a little brag box because sometimes when you’re feeling a little down on yourself, and it happens to everyone, you can open up that brag box and look at it and see what other people are saying about you, right? And remember what makes you different in the lives that you change with the work that you do. You also have to kind of make it clear in your mind. What is a thought and what is a fact? Right The facts are are neutral. Our thoughts are tied to old stories. So you know what me I mentioned earlier like my old stories were in the 60s, women were not even allowed to get a mortgage without a guy right now, you know, things have changed and not as big they’ve come we’ve come a long way baby, what was that? That was a cigarette ad. But that doesn’t mean we’re not all the way there yet. We are so far from there being even, even equality with you know, in the gender wage gap and things like that. But if but I had to get rid of a lot of mine trash, a lot of old stories, to be able to clear the way for the new stories to come in for the new beliefs to come into my life. So what are those old stories for you? Okay, this is these are the things that sabotage you. Okay? I mean, if you need to listen to this podcast, moreover, and listen to more and motivational materials, what is it that jazz is you we’ve got our soundtrack of fabulous, where we listen to, you know, songs that make you feel great, that make you dance around the room, right? For me movement, and dance and song, make a big difference. So I we focus a lot about that here. What is the what is the, you know, how do you how do you? What’s the physicality of starting to believe in yourself, right. And again, sometimes you need to shake out physically shake out all the old stuff to make room for the new stuff. And then you know, if you’re still feeling a little, you’re still feeling a little bit like you don’t know, if you can do it, then go to your team, go to your people, right, like, this is why we have weekly q&a calls on our she’s linked up program, because sometimes on those calls, every at some point, everybody in our program needs a little handholding a little kick in the butt a little reminder that they’re brilliant and amazing. And what they do for the world is changing lives. So you know, don’t be afraid to ask for that kind of support. When you get it. The first thing really is going deep inside yourself believing in yourself. The second thing is you need to think big enough, right? Like, again, if you’re thinking about, you know, the first thing you want to think about is a six figure top line. The second thing you want to think about right behind that is what does a six figure bottom line look like? Right? What does it look like when you’re when your bottom line is six figures, meaning you’ve got six figures in profit, not six figures in in top line income, right? So you need to be thinking big enough for that you need to know that that’s there for you. You need to know that that’s there for you, you have to be thinking big enough to have these opportunities. And you know, here’s the thing, I you know, right before the end of 2021, we went around the Zoom Room with our she’s linked up q&a call that week. And I asked everybody what their goals were their big goals were for 2022. Every single person mentioned something that was focusing on impact, not income, which is, which is amazing and brilliant, and just talks about the brilliant women and the heartfelt women in our program. But my point really is if you don’t have the income, you can’t make the impact. The more income you have, the more impact you can make. So women tend to they go to go right towards the impact and forget that if we focus on the income, the impact, we can make a greater impact. Right, that makes sense. So you’ve got to think big, so that you can do the kinds of things you can do, I want you to fill your cup up, so that at some point, it’s now overflowing, and we can serve from that overflow, instead of serving within the cup that we that that serve that fills us, right, I want you to be completely full. Third thing, be clear on how you want to be positioned in your profile to attract your ideal client, right? You might be doing a million different things. And that’s cool. We’re all multi passionate. But if you are all over the place, if it’s confusing to people what you do in your profile, they’re not gonna do anything. A confused mind doesn’t buy I don’t remember who said that first. But you need to be really clear about how you’re positioning stuff in your yourself in your LinkedIn profile, so that you can meet the kinds of people that are there for you. Who are you? How do you support people? What results will people get what kind of transformations are in their lives when you when they bring you into their world, right. So you need to make this really, really clear in your profile. And keep in mind your profile is not Mount Rushmore, we can change it. Right. If your goal for the next six months is to get 10k speaking gigs, then let’s rearrange your profile. So that is what your position to get. And then let’s build relationships from that standpoint. And then if the next six months is your goal is to fill your mastermind or whatever is you know, to get a new, a new, you know, six figure client in your corporate world, then we’ll read reposition your profile to be able to do that. But if it’s not clear, Nope, you’re not going to be able to land the opportunities that you want. So you’ve got to be clear so that you can then those big opportunities to land to that million dollar year, okay, or to lead to that million dollar year. And then you want to also think about who are the people that you want to meet that will help you get there to find your ideal connections and thinking big, right, connecting with the most influential people in your world, you know, back again to the 70s and 80s and even 90s We had gatekeepers, just know the term gatekeeper like you to get through the gatekeeper for you got to the person you want. There’s no gatekeepers anymore. Right? If you’re the CEO of my company, if you want to speak to me, you can go write to me on LinkedIn and say, Hey, Karen, I’ve got this thought on where we can maybe work together. Now listen, I might say to you, you know what, that’s a great, that’s a great idea. Do me a favor, reach out to Jill, she’s my assistant, and Jill will do A, B, or C. And let’s see if we can make this happen. Right. Now, when you reach out to Jill who in the past, you might have thought of as my gatekeeper, now, you’re coming to her and saying, Hey, Karen asked me to reach out to you about this, that is a much stronger position to be reaching out to then having to come up through the gatekeeper to get to the CEO. Does that make sense? So you need to be thinking big when you’re defining your ideal connections. And thinking about like, who is the publisher of the media publications that you are interested in being a part of, who are the people that make the decisions to bring on the speakers at the conference, you want to speak at reach out to them, right, reach out to those people go, you know, go big, go big, because if you go too high, they’ll just send you back down a level. And now you’ve got the Hey, your boss told me to call you kind of approach, right, which is a great approach to reach out to people. But here’s the thing, you must, must, must must, must be making connections with these people, or none of this is going to happen. All of the things we talked about here, none of it works if you’re not doing the actual work, right. None of this works. If you’re just setting the stage and not doing the actual work. We talked about this in Episode 191, we talked about the consistent habits you need to have, well, you still need to have those consistent habits, you still need to do that outreach. But keeping in mind that you’re building these, this is where these big six figure opportunities are there for you. You know, maybe it’s a 20k opportunity or a five cap or 20. But this is where you’re on your way to your millionaire status, not by you know, tweeting, or an Instagram post about the pen that you sell. Does that make sense? That makes sense. So you’ve got to think about making those connections with the right people that can help you grow your business. So let’s recap this a second, to really focus on having a million dollar business or having a million dollars in the bank account. The first thing you need to do is believe in yourself. The second thing you need to do is make sure that you are thinking big enough, right? And if you’re not thinking big enough, and make sure you grab a call on our calendar, Karen Yankovich COMM slash call because we help you think big. Okay? And then get clear on how you want to be positioned. What is it what is immediately in front of you in the next six months that you want to go after. And then define the people that can help you achieve that goal. And then go after it. Start making connections with those people so that you can continually grow your business and you can land that contract. LinkedIn is a powerful, powerful tool to build these relationships, but you have to believe in yourself. You have to think big and you have to understand why who your ideal connections are and what you want from them before you can start building these relationships. We all have doubts about ourselves in our business. I mean it happens all the time. It happens to every one of us I will be doing mindset work every day of my life for my entire life. I don’t think there’s ever going to be a point in my life I don’t anticipate there being a more a point in my life where like I’m good I don’t know either mindset work okay. growing a business takes a lot of mindset work more than I think the average person doing the mindset work will not only help you think like a millionaire but it will also make you a millionaire. I mentioned earlier at our she’s linked up family in our she’s linked up programs we create wealthy women of influence. If you want to know what that looks like for you get on our calendar, Karen Yankovich COMM slash call, get you on the calendar, we’ll talk to you a little bit about what your big goals are, we’ll help you make sure they’re big enough. And then we’ll talk a little bit about whether or not we think the strategies we teach on around LinkedIn will be able to support you and if we think so we’ll tell you what that looks like. And we’ll talk about what it will look like to work together. If not, if it’s not the right time for you. If we’re not in agreement that this is a fit, then we’ll do whatever we can to support you in whatever way we can. So but it all starts with that phone call Karen Yankovich COMM slash call gets you on the calendar, what we do, what the heart of everything we do when she’s linked up is lifting each other up. So help me help you share this podcast, take a quick screenshot of this episode on your phone, share that on social media and then I will share that with my audience and then we both get more visibility that way. And that is the beginning of a beautiful relationship. I will see you back here again next week with another episode of The Good girls get rich podcast
