Hello there. I’m your host, Karen Yankovich. And this is episode 247 of the good girls get rich podcast. And if you’ve been listening to our series, the last few weeks, you know that we recently published a quiz to help you understand how LinkedIn and PR strategies will work for you most successfully based on your strengths. And we’ve had so much fun with this. And we’ve got four different I guess marketing types, the dynamo, the empower the relator, and the illuminator. And we talked about the other three types. And the earlier shows this week, we’re talking about my beautiful, shiny illuminators. And I’m so excited to do this because I had so much fun with this, I’m a little sad that this series is coming to an end with this. But there’s a lot more to come with this quiz and the styles. And the reason that we did this is because I am really truly standing strong for you to have a marketing strategy that is not cookie cutter that works for you that you feel confident and comfortable in because that is where you’re gonna have success. Right? If I ask you to climb a tree, and you know, you’ve never climbed a tree before in your life, you’re not gonna want to do it, I want you to feel comfortable with this. So we’ve created this quiz to help you really get strategic, but also customize that strategy so that you feel comfortable doing it. So that works for you. So as I mentioned this week, and this today’s episode, we’re diving in to the world of LinkedIn and PR strategy for the illuminator style entrepreneur. And, you know, these are our knowledge creators, our wisdom sharers, the guiding lights in their industry, before we get into talking and helping you understand the illuminator style. If you have not taken the LinkedIn Success style quiz yet, go to LinkedIn quiz.com. And take the quiz. So you know what your style is, this is the fourth episode in this series. So you can be sure we’ve already done one for your style, if the eliminator is not the result that you get, but you’re gonna want to listen to this anyway. Because I really do think we all have a little bit of each of these in us. So we also have a link in the show notes to make it really easy for you to take this quiz. So what does it mean to be an illuminator style entrepreneur? So imagine this, okay, like kind of just imagine that you are the leading light in your world, you’re a beacon that guide your audience. You have profound insights and knowledge and wisdom. And this profound insight and wisdom and knowledge illuminates the path for the others in your field. That’s your strength. It’s a really powerful role. And I know, I hope that some of you are relating to this or resonating with this illuminators have a unique ability to share this wisdom providing insightful commentary acting is like guiding lights in your industry, they illuminators placed immense value in our knowledge and they they get deep satisfaction from sharing their insights to help others reach achieve their goals, right. That’s the essence of an illuminator. And this aligns beautifully with why we’re all on LinkedIn. Right? We’re here to share, we’re here to learn, we’re here to grow together. And illuminators embody this spirit so wonderfully, we’re not on LinkedIn, to pitch, pitch, pitch, pitch pitch, we’re there to build relationships, to show up and shine a light on our strengths to support others with what we’re in this world to support. So let’s talk a little bit about what LinkedIn strategy might look like for my beautiful eliminators. So LinkedIn can be an absolutely invaluable platform for you. Your LinkedIn profile is really going to be the beacon that attracts your ideal audience to the knowledge and the insight that you offer. That’s why we spend so much time talking about your profile, I want it to be a magnetic marketing strategy, right? And this when you shine your light, you know, kind of like fireflies, right? Like we’re attracted to them, people are attracted to your light, right? So you have to start by ensuring that your LinkedIn profile is an accurate and a beautiful representation of your wisdom and of the immense value you bring to your world. You have to be confidently sharing that on your LinkedIn profile. You want to have a headline that’s catchy, with your you know, engaging and has a hook and that your your summary is engaging and rich with those keywords. Because those keywords is what brings that like that’s part of the light that your ideal people are following to find you, right, you’re shining the light like the lighthouse, and now they’re coming to you. But if you don’t have those keywords, you’re you’re She’s kind of doing this with one hand tied behind your back, right? Because you’ve got this opportunity to make this whole process more magnetic for yourself. So you want to make sure that your experience section is detailed and is accurately showcasing not just your skills, but your journey, right and the depth of your expertise around everything that you do. You absolutely want to be sharing content, right, sharing content that shows your wisdom. And that’s essential for our illuminators. Because it’s not just about standing there shining and saying, everybody watch, you know, come see me, you want to make sure that you are portraying that deep knowledge, right, so that you’re sharing posts that provide insights and stimulate thought, you know, maybe even doing some LinkedIn lives to discuss and encourage conversation around topics that are in the field that you support, right. Your strength is an illuminator is in your wisdom. And the beauty of LinkedIn is that it provides that platform to share this wisdom to build authority and to be recognized as a thought leader in your industry. So some specific tasks. Number one, revamp your LinkedIn profile, right, assess your current LinkedIn profile, update it to better reflect your illuminator style. Keep this in the back of your mind while you’re creating your profile. Make sure that it highlights your wisdom, it makes sure that highlight your expertise and the value that you offer. And pay particular attention to your headline, right, because this is that light should be catchy, and immediately communicate who you are, who you help and how you help them. You know what our she’s linked up program, we’re actually incorporating our students LinkedIn Success styles, into that we write your profile for you. So we incorporate your success style into your profile, it’s been really, truly a lot of fun. While you’re working on your profile, make sure that you’re optimizing your summary, your summary needs to be engaging, right, again, rich in those keywords related to your industry, underscoring the value that you bring it, this is not like it’s not I want it to be warm and inviting, it’s your opportunity to tell your story. So again, this should be aligning with the illumination that you provide to the world make it make it a beacon to draw people more to you, on your experience section, take some time to go through these sections. Ensure that every role is detailed, and accurately shares what your journey is, and the depth of your experience. Include projects or accomplishments that highlight that your your your wisdom and what you’ve done in your experience. And put all of this in each one of your sections. In your experience section, you definitely want to really focus on your content, you want to brainstorm a list of topics that you are deeply knowledgeable about, right for potential articles, and maybe some longer posts, right, some longer length posts, make sure that you’re you’re aiming to create content that regularly underscores and shines a light on your wisdom. Right, because remember, as a beautiful illuminator your strength lies in your insights, that’s what’s drawing people to you, you absolutely want to be using LinkedIn live, you can be creating sessions that you know, discuss and dissect topics in your field. And you can do this real time with the people that are connected to you. Right, this doesn’t only showcase your expertise, but allows you to engage with your audience engage with your network directly, right and this, this solidifies your role as a thought leader. All right, so let’s kind of move on now to your PR strategy. Right? As an illuminator, your wisdom I mentioned is kind of like that lighthouse guiding ships in a storm. Don’t dim your light, you want to amplify it, you absolutely want to you absolutely want to have pure strategies, and your LinkedIn strategy. LinkedIn and a strong strategic PR approach are the tools for you to illuminate your wisdom, okay. So make sure that you are creating a list of relevant media outlets that align with your industry and expertise. And you’re not just looking to follow those media outlets. You’re looking to connect with the writers on LinkedIn, the journalists on LinkedIn and those media outlets. That right for those outlets, you’re starting to build relationships with the journalists and the media outlets that align with your industry. Have some pitches ready, right, prepare a series of pitches that align your, with your insights and your wisdom, right. You want to keep them concise, and you want to keep them relevant. Right and you know, use this opportunity to demonstrate the value and the fresh perspective that you have right to their audience. Podcasts. Who are the podcast that that your audience listens to right make a list of those shows that maybe you can be a guest on but at the very least you want to be building relationships with the hosts of those shows. Share them on your LinkedIn strategy share them on LinkedIn say I just listened to Episode 247 of the good girls get rich podcast you all need if you’re an eliminated you all need to listen to this episode, right like and tag me it doesn’t happen as often as you would think. Right? I love it. I love when it does happen. But you will stand out when you do these things. Right. So if there’s podcasts that you want to be a guest on, start to make yourself invaluable to their hosts right like, help shine your light on their content, do that with all these media outlets. And this is how you start to build relationships where they start coming to you. And they say, Hey, I’ve got an opportunity, I think I want to get a quote from you on this, right? This is how you start to shine your light, brighter and brighter. If this makes you nervous, then I just want you to step into it even more, do you have a public speaking strategy? Right? Are you speaking to a wider audience, you have opportunities to speak at events, conferences, even local events, Chambers of Commerce webinars, right? If you have a signature talk that showcases this wisdom and thought leadership, and this is LinkedIn, right, so use LinkedIn to start connecting and building relationships with the organizers of these events. This is how I get almost every single one of my speaking engagements is by doing this, and I have a lot of speaking engagements, especially you know, now that we’re moving into, you know, as this goes live, it’s the middle of 2023. More and more speaking, conferences are now doing live events. So look, it’s time to step back into this. And remember that you, you know, when you’re creating your PR strategy, it’s all about amplifying your presence, don’t hold back your wisdom. Think about ways you can amplify your voice think about ways you can let your light shine even brighter through collaborations or partnerships. You know, maybe you have your own platform, maybe you can have a LinkedIn live TV show and series, right? These are all ways that this can work for you.So I want to take a minute
here to just remind you that these are the kinds of things that my entire business supports, right, my entire business is is focused on supporting our clients with LinkedIn and PR strategies to amplify and strengthen their online presence so that they have the credibility to land the biggest opportunities, we teach you how to build these relationships, how to shine your beautiful light, and how you hold your hand while you do you know, because I know that I can say this stuff, shine your light, go speak on stage, all that stuff. But it’s not always as easy to do that. Right. And, and having a group of brilliant, beautiful women around you,
to support you, as long as you do this, nothing beats that for fast your fastest path to success. So our Tobik accelerator program is where it starts. It is we just have the most amazing women in this program. And if you want to know what it looks like to get some support with all of this, just go on over to Karen yankovich.com/call, grab a spot on our calendar and we’ll chat. It’s a fit, we’ll let you know what that looks like. If we don’t think it’s a fit, or you don’t think it’s a fit either way, we’ll make sure that you get a lot of value out of that call. Because my goal is for there to be more wealthy women of influence in the world. And this is how I do that. So I’d love to see your name on our calendar. And we are going to move into now, what some of the challenges our beautiful illuminators might have as they build their strategy out. So remember, you are the lighthouse in the storm, right? Your wisdom and your insights are guiding me and all of the people around you. But even lighthouses can face challenges, right? So the first thing is the challenge of visibility. Right? Like, you know, even a lighthouse doesn’t shine across the entire ocean. And we’re talking about the internet here. So you need to make sure that your light shines the brightest. On LinkedIn, this might mean investing time and energy into polishing your profile until it gleams, right until it’s sparkling until it’s absolutely magnetic. Choosing the right headline, engaging summaries. It’s not always easy, but it’s essential to stand out from the crowd. You know, sharing content is another challenge is not just about sharing but sharing the right type of content. As an illuminator you want to stimulate thought and share wisdom and build authority. Maybe it’s writing articles and or like I said earlier, creating those LinkedIn live sessions, but you don’t want to just post like quotes and memes you want to have wisdom to share, right? Creating content that conveys this wisdom in an engaging and like digestible format. Some of your PR challenges that you might have, you know, you your wisdom is your unique selling proposition. But how do you know, you know, how do you make sure you’re reaching the right people, you don’t want to just be on any media, right? Or any podcast or any TV or you know, radio show, you need to identify like, who’s your audience? Where are they consuming content, and then tailor your pitches to meet that outlets requirements. So behind that light, there’s got to be some strategy, there’s got to be some research. Same with like guest appearances. You know, finding the right opportunity is important. I don’t want you to do this a million times. I want you to do this a few times to the exact right people. And I know when you’re standing there in the middle of the ocean, shine your light everyone can see it. You it’s on you to be discerning what the public speaking engagements are that you want to take and what the podcasts are that you want to be on. Right. And then thinking about that, like that further amplifying this right. You’re a lighthouse. So you’re shining your light all over the place. But But is there a specific Pick direction that you want to focus on, right? Are there collaboration, partnerships, you maybe want to create your own podcast, your own platform, your own YouTube channel, your own LinkedIn live show, right? But you want to identify what works best for you. Right? That’s the challenge that you have. These are not insurmountable challenge, your wisdom is your strength, but use it to navigate these hurdles, right? Using tin PR strategically so that they’re tools that aid you in shining your light in this beautiful big landscape. Alright, so what are the things that I do my own business? So I’m starting to incorporate in the work that I do with you, is I really like to incorporate some right brain left brain strategies into everything that I do. So what we did for this podcast series, was we did some research and said, to think what crystal might bring the energy to each LinkedIn Success style, to help amplify your success. And for our beautiful illuminators, that crystal is sodalite. sodalite is known as a stone of insight and intuition. It’s used to for better communication and expression. And it really aligns with your style, my beautiful Eliminator, because you’re providing wisdom and sharing valuable insights. Right. So so I can help you stimulate some some thoughts, right and allow deeper understanding. And it’s, this is what I mean, when I say I want you to have deeper content, sharing your knowledge on these platforms SOTL It’s also used for its ability to calm the mind at ease, panic attacks. So when I say things like go to get a microphone and do some public speaking, you know, maybe have a soda like crystal in your pocket or stuck in your bra, right? You know, you can keep this in your pocket, keep it in your desk, you can even wear it on a piece of jewelry. The point is you want to keep it close right at because it’s a physical reminder of the powerful energy you carry. As an Eliminator, you can also incorporate sodalite into your meditation practices, right, hold the stone visualize it’s calming blue energy flowing through you sparking into your intuitive capabilities and enhancing your wisdom as you’re kind of stepping from that meditation practice into your day. You know, leaning into this energy is all about encouraging deep thought and stimulating your intuition and enhancing that wisdom. So you can use this stone to ground you in that thought leadership, right? But the energy remind you of that depth of knowledge that you have, right the wisdom that you have to share, and use all of this as you you’re creating your process to amplify your voice with these LinkedIn and PR strategies. Let’s quickly recap what we talked about today, we delve deep into our beautiful illuminator entrepreneurial style, the light that shines on us all and explore their best strategies for success on LinkedIn and PR.
