About This Episode & Highlights:
So many smart, experienced women are still waiting to be noticed.
They have the expertise. They have the results. They have years of experience behind them. Yet they still feel overlooked online.
Meanwhile, less qualified people are landing speaking opportunities, high-level clients, media features, and bigger contracts.
Why?
Because visibility alone is not enough anymore.
In this episode of the Good Girls Get Rich Podcast, Karen Yankovich explains why magnetic marketing is the key to becoming impossible to overlook.
What Is Magnetic Marketing?
Magnetic marketing is about creating clarity around your expertise so the right people naturally come to you.
Instead of constantly chasing leads, posting nonstop, or trying to beat the algorithm, magnetic marketing helps you position yourself as the obvious choice.
According to Karen, the women getting the best opportunities are not always the loudest online.
They are the clearest.
When your messaging is clear:
- People understand your value faster
- Buyers trust you more quickly
- Opportunities come to you naturally
- Your authority becomes easier to recognize
That is what creates momentum.
Why Visibility Without Positioning Keeps Women Underpaid
One of the biggest takeaways from this episode is that visibility without positioning can keep women stuck.
You can post every day and still be overlooked if your audience does not understand:
- What you do
- Who you help
- What results you create
- Why you are different
Karen explains that many women focus on being helpful instead of being positioned as authorities.
That often leads to more work but fewer high-level opportunities.
As Karen says:
“Being liked is not the same as being paid.”
Stop Softening Your Expertise
Another important lesson from this episode is the way women talk about their work online.
Karen encourages women to stop using soft language like:
- “I’m passionate about…”
- “I believe…”
- “I’d love to help…”
Instead, she recommends stronger positioning language like:
- “I help…”
- “I specialize in…”
- “I solve…”
This small shift creates a stronger sense of authority and confidence.
And confidence builds trust.
You Do Not Need More Content
If LinkedIn or social media feels exhausting, Karen shares an important reminder:
You do not need more content.
You need more clarity.
The goal is not to become louder online. The goal is to become easier to understand.
Clear positioning, consistent messaging, and visible authority are what attract premium opportunities.
That is how magnetic marketing works.
Final Thoughts
Karen’s message in this episode is simple but powerful:
Women do not create more wealth by staying invisible, unclear, or available to everyone.
They create wealth by becoming visible, positioned, and undeniable.
If you are ready to stop waiting to be chosen and start becoming impossible to overlook, this episode is a must-listen.
Ready to stop waiting to be chosen and start becoming impossible to overlook?
Magical Quotes From The Episode:
“Visibility without positioning is why so many brilliant women stay underpaid.”
“Being liked is not the same as being paid.”
“You do not need to post more. You need to become more decisive.”

[00:00] Why Brilliant Women Are Still Being Overlooked
Karen:
Hello, hello, and welcome to the Good Girls Get Rich Podcast. I’m your host, Karen Yankovich, and today we’re talking about something we don’t say out loud enough:
There are brilliant, experienced, wildly capable women sitting on decades of expertise who are still waiting to be discovered. Waiting for the right person to notice them. Waiting for someone to connect the dots. Waiting for opportunities that should already be theirs.
Meanwhile, less qualified people — louder people — are getting invited into rooms, onto stages, and into high-level deals.
Not because they’re better.
Because they’re clearer.
Because they’re positioned.
Because they’ve learned how to become magnetic.
And you know I love that word — magnetic. We don’t want to chase people down or force ourselves into rooms. We want the right people coming to us.
If this makes you uncomfortable, good. Because this conversation matters.
This isn’t about gaming an algorithm. This is about reclaiming control of your future.
“When you’re not positioned to be found, chosen, and paid, you’re leaving your wealth, influence, and legacy in someone else’s hands.”
And honestly? I believe we need more wealthy women now. Not someday. Now.
[02:09] This Isn’t a Visibility Problem — It’s a Power Leak
Karen:
Let’s call this what it really is. This is not a visibility problem.
It’s a power leak.
Women are often socialized to be helpful instead of visible. Qualified instead of known. Busy instead of positioned.
So what happens? LinkedIn becomes another place where we do the work… but don’t claim the authority.
That makes you easy to overlook.
You stay out of high-level conversations. You stay out of the rooms where wealth is created.
And I want you in those rooms.
But if people don’t know how to place you — if they don’t immediately understand what you do, who you help, and why it matters — they can’t hire you.
Clarity is not a marketing tactic.
Clarity is a power move.
And clarity is not about niching for the algorithm. It’s about making your value impossible to ignore.
[03:16] Why Clarity Creates Magnetic Marketing
Karen:
People aren’t reaching out to you just because you’re active online.
They reach out because they instantly understand how you fit into their world.
Your LinkedIn profile should not just tell people about you. It should help the reader see themselves in your work.
And I know women resist this.
You think:
“What if I box myself in?”
“What if I leave people out?”
“What if I want to do more than one thing?”
But clarity doesn’t limit you.
It acts like a giant flashing locator beacon in the rooms where decisions are made.
And clarity helps people understand:
- The highest-value problem you solve
- Who is already willing to pay to solve that problem
- Why you are the trusted solution
Because there are always people with a credit card in hand looking for answers.
The clearer you are, the faster they can recognize you as the solution.
“Your marketing should communicate your value in one sentence that sounds like money.”
[05:27] Visibility Without Positioning Keeps You Underpaid
Karen:
I want to lovingly call this out:
Visibility without positioning is why so many women stay underpaid.
You can show up online every single day and still not be taken seriously.
You can be:
- Sharing… but not leading
- Teaching… but not claiming authority
- Connecting… but not directing
And here’s the truth:
Being liked is not the same as being paid.
The people making buying decisions are not scrolling LinkedIn thinking:
“Wow, she posts so consistently.”
They’re asking:
- Can she solve this problem?
- Can she handle this level?
- Would I trust her in this room?
That’s what matters.
You don’t need to be louder to become magnetic.
You need:
- Clear positioning
- Clear authority
- Clear outcomes
- A clear invitation
Magnetic marketing isn’t about chasing attention.
It’s about organizing your message so clearly that people naturally come to you.
[08:28] Stop Softening Your Expertise
Karen:
Take a look at your LinkedIn profile and your content.
Are you softening your expertise?
Please stop saying:
“I’m passionate about…”
Instead say:
“I help…”
Stop saying:
“I believe…”
Instead say:
“I specialize in…”
You are not here to suggest your value.
You are here to state it.
Claim it.
Own it.
And then look at your digital body language.
Is your profile decisive?
Is there a clear next step?
Or are you hoping people figure it out on their own?
Because confusion does not convert.
“A confused mind does not buy.”
I first learned that years ago from Marie Forleo during B-School, and it still shapes everything I teach today.
[09:13] Proof Builds Authority
Karen:
You also need proof.
Are you sharing:
- Case studies?
- Media features?
- Testimonials tied to real results?
That’s why we build PR into our LinkedIn strategies.
The best testimonials are not:
“She’s amazing to work with.”
The best testimonials are:
“Because of her, this happened.”
That kind of proof helps people see themselves in your results.
And LinkedIn is also paying attention to consistency.
When LinkedIn understands what you do and who you help, it knows when to send people your way.
So ask yourself:
Are you showing up as a thought leader?
Or are you constantly auditioning for approval?
The more you shift your identity online, the harder it becomes for people to trust you.
[11:26] You Don’t Need More Content
Karen:
I really want you to hear this:
You do not need to post more.
You need to become more decisive.
More consistent.
Not constant.
Decide:
- What you want to be known for
- What you stand for
- What you are available for
And then communicate that clearly.
Because that’s when your marketing becomes magnetic.
And when your marketing becomes magnetic, your business starts coming to you instead of you constantly chasing it.
If your inbox or DMs are quiet, it’s not because you’re not valuable.
It’s because your value is still negotiable in the way it’s being seen.
[12:05] Become Impossible to Overlook
Karen:
Here’s what I know for sure:
We do not create more wealthy women by staying humble, busy, unclear, and available to everyone.
We create more wealthy women when we become visible, positioned, and undeniable.
This isn’t just about LinkedIn.
This is about your life.

Your income.
