And leave us an audio message there. So one of the things that I get asked, I talk to people a lot like I talk to people a lot about LinkedIn. I mean, what I teach is relationship marketing, right? So of course, it starts with talking to people. And that’s what I do. And I, you know, I walk the talk. So I’m always talking to people is you know, as you if you haven’t already, you’ll see a link at the end of this for way to book a call with us if you want to know what it’s like to get some help with this stuff. So I talk to people all day long every day about this stuff. And I love it. And one of the questions I get asked the most is, I don’t have time for this, Karen, like where do people find time for this? I’m too busy. I don’t have time for this. I’ve got to get you know, I don’t even know what to do. Like, how much time do I need to spend on this? If I do this, how much time do you expect me to spend on this. And here’s the deal, the people that are in our program, the people that I work with the women that are in our program, they’re busy, successful women, they don’t have a ton of time to devote to this, I get that I don’t want to spend all day long doing this, I don’t want to work 60 hours a week. And I don’t want you to do it either. So we’ve created a system that is a simple system that powerfully moves you forward. And I’m going to share that system here with you today. So I you know, I refer to LinkedIn, his arm as my money tree, and it needs consistent watering. So what does that consistent watering look like? Right? Like you can’t, if you put 10 gallons of water in a tree, and then don’t touch it again, for three months, the tree still gonna die, right, you got to take that 10 gallons and you got to drip it out over days and weeks and, and be consistent with that. And that’s what we want you to do here with the LinkedIn strategy that we teach as well. And when you’re doing this, it’s you know, 15 minutes a couple times a week, honestly, it’s really not that much time. Obviously, once it gets, once you get to the point where people are responding to you and you’re getting, you’re getting on the phone with people, that takes more time. But that’s the good stuff, right. That’s where the opportunities come. So we’re, I’m happy to take more time to do that. But the time that it’s gonna take to do the work to get to those phone calls, really isn’t a lot, but it does have to be consistent. Okay, it does have to be consistent. If you want to build your business with LinkedIn, you’ve got to do this, if you want to have a money tree, you’ve got to do this work. So you know, maybe you’re struggling meeting the right people through in person networking groups who can you know, help you build your business, right? Or maybe we find yourself spending lots of time connecting with the wrong people. Or maybe you’re listening to some of the people out there that are like connect with 100 people a day because somebody is gonna want something right? Or maybe you’ve even hired somebody that sends out connection requests times 1000 And and you end up getting all these calls on your calendar, but they’re all the wrong people. And now you’re swamped, right? I don’t want that for you. I strongly don’t want it for me why if I didn’t want it for me? Why would I teach you this? Right? You can build your business quickly when you’re connecting with the right people in a very simple, micro targeted way. Right using LinkedIn you can target your connections to meet those right people. Creating a simple, consistent daily routine to make those connections is the key to watering your money tree growing your money tree with less effort. Okay, you can find the people who can connect to you with with the right people who need your services, or the products or whatever it is you’re looking to what are the opportunities, the jobs, the contracts by spending about this If 10 minutes, if you did 15 minutes a day, you could be messaging me and saying, Why didn’t I do this sooner or right? But if you do 15 minutes, a couple times a week, you can see results. Okay? So you know, I love center of influence marketing, you can target ideal connections to grow your business without spamming the masses. Okay, no spam ever. That’s what I stand for here. So and I’m actually going to link to Episode 082. If you go to Episode 08, to Karen yankovich.com/ 082, it really I think it’s titled something like don’t spam your LinkedIn network. But it gives you a list of I think 20 places that you can find your warm network. Okay, so I’m going to talk to a little bit about what I want you to do. But that, that if you go to that episode, there’s actually a download on that episode, that will give you a list of how to find your warm network. So what does it routine? What does a daily routine look like? We’re gonna call this daily, and then I’ll tell you what, what I want weekly, okay. And, you know, if you do this three times a week, it’s better than not doing it at all, and you’re still gonna see serious, serious success. So okay, what happens is you sit down at your desk, you log on to LinkedIn, and the first thing I want you to do is review your connection requests. That’s the little people icon, okay, just see if anybody’s requested to connect with you. And then eyeball it. Do you want to connect? Yes or no? Okay, easy done two seconds. The next thing I want you to do is review your notifications. And there’s a bell icon there, just poke through that. Is there anybody that maybe tagged you in something? Is there anything that came up in those notifications as of interested to you that you want to jump into that conversation, right, so easy, just review those notifications, see what’s there. If there’s nothing there that you want to share on your wall, then I’d like you to create a post for your wall. You know, the post doesn’t have to be something that you specifically created. It can be, you know, an article that you read somewhere else, or maybe you saw somebody else, post something on LinkedIn, you want to share it, all of that keeps you Top of Mind with your community. So post on your wall, every time you log into LinkedIn, or a couple times a week, whatever works for you. Now, if you have listened to the show, and certainly if you listen to the episode a couple episodes ago, where we talked about the premium services, I want you to think about what your influencer lists are, right? Who are the people that are influential to you, and and create a list of those people, I want you to be consistently looking to see if they’ve posted, right. So if you’re using Sales Navigator, like we talked about in a premium episode that we did about the premium service, I talked to you a little bit about the wall that you have, that you can save specific people there, check that out, right, if there’s a journalist that you want to get on our podcast that you want to be interviewed on, make sure that you’re looking to see if that host of that podcast shared anything and share that right. Like be intentional about who you want to build a relationship with and share their stuff. I know that sounds so simple, but we’re just not doing that. Again, just take a couple minutes, then check out your checkout your actual messages, okay? When you’re connecting with people, when you review your connection requests, if people have put a connection request message in there, it’s actually going to pop into your messages box as well. So now when we’re at like step number five, here, I want you to actually look at those messages. And now jump in do you want to you know, if people are connecting with you, I love for you to reach out and say, hey, great to meet you, I’d love to hear more about what you’re doing. Right? The goal of LinkedIn is not to have a big number of connections. It’s about getting on the phone with people. It’s it’s virtual networking. So you know, when people have connected with you, if you think that they’re worthy of your time, and that there’s opportunity there for your business, reach out to them and say thanks for connecting, I’d love to hear more about what you’re doing right. So worth any messages that might have come in since the last time you logged in any messages that might have been there with any connection requests that you just accepted, and make sure that you’re, you stay on top of that message box. You might have heard me say this before, but there is no more valuable piece of real estate in my business than my LinkedIn inbox. That is where the vast majority of the business comes into my business. Right? I want that is the first thing I’m checking so that you know those messages, you want to stay on top of them. I can’t say the same for my regular inbox, my email inbox, I’m trying to stay on top of it. But I don’t have a lot of luck with that yet. But I can tell you this, I don’t miss a beat on my LinkedIn inbox. Right, the next thing? Are you active in LinkedIn groups that this is something some people are more active in than others. If LinkedIn groups are valuable for your strategy, and see what’s happening in your groups, share, like and comment other people’s things. Don’t just drop your content in the groups because nobody’s reading that. I would like you to go into those groups and engage with the group so that you your name gets in front of them. Again, we’re really not looking to just promote, promote, promote on LinkedIn, looking to build relationships. So see who’s posting things in your groups. Maybe there’s some content there you can share on your wall keeps you Top of Mind with your network by having something on the wall and it also provides value to somebody in that group because you share their content and if that person is on your influencer list. Beautiful right? When when when. All right. So those are the things I want you to do every day review your connection requests, review your notifications, post on your wall, review your influencer list and make see if there’s anybody that’s posted anything you want to engage with, work your messages and check your groups. The next couple things are like per week. So you can spread this out over the number of, of times that you engage on LinkedIn, I want you to initiate connections, with no more than five to 10 people a week, no more, not a day, a week, I want you to research this. And that goes back to that episode 82 082, Karen Yankovich COMM slash 082. That’s where I’ve listed 20 Different places where you can find warm and network, so you never have to cold call, you never have to spam your network, okay, you’re just going to be looking for warm connections, maybe it’s alumni, maybe it’s people that are in the same business association, you’re in, maybe it’s previous co workers, right? Who’s going to be valuable to you don’t just initiate connections, randomly. Think about who can provide value in your business. It’s not what you know, it’s who you know, we’re building out the who you know, here, okay, we’re building out your network of who you know, so that you’ve got this amazing, brilliant network when you’re ready to use it. Okay, but you’ve got to be doing and you can’t just be reactive to these connection requests, you must be proactive. But the reason I only want you to do five to 10 per week is if you are doing this, in this micro targeted way to your warm network, most likely, these people can accept your connection requests, and then they’re going to now it’s going to come back up to number five, where I said, work your messages. Now you can be messaging with these people, the goal is to get on the phone with them, right? If you message 25 People initiate 25 connection requests a week, you’re not going to be able to keep up with it, and you’re going to blow your warm network, right, you’re gonna, you’re gonna, you’re gonna blow it and I don’t want you to do that, I want you to initiate only a few each week. So even if that’s two or three a day, honestly, my recommendation usually is is to come up with a list of 50, right, like, do the research in one day in two hours, and then use that lifted List of 50 for the next 10 weeks, right. And then just connect with a few of them every week, you’ve already done the research reach out and say, hey, it’s been this many months, years decades, since we met at that conference, I’d love to catch up with you. Remember, you’re only doing this with people that you think can bring value to your business that can that can lift up your business and or help you land the kinds of contracts or deals or customers or jobs that you’re looking for here, right. So do this really intentionally with the goal of getting on the phone with as many of those people as possible. So that is number seven is initiate five to 10 connections per week from your word network. And if you’re not sure what your warm network is, Episode 82 will get you that. And then the last thing is because you’re moving to look to get on the phone with these people, my goal is for you to have five phone calls a week with these connections. Okay, you probably have an in you probably already have a lot of these people in your existing network. Okay, the first thing we do we work with people and she’s linked up as we hit your existing network, that’s your low hanging fruit. So both of your existing network, go through your messages go through the people that you’re having these conversations with, with intention, and find the biggest rock stars that you’re already connected to, or that you’re having these messages with. And let’s get on the phone with them. Okay, like this is about this is where business happens that this has happened at this point, all of the other things need to lead up to this point. But if you skip this get on the phone piece, you skip this outreach piece, you’re not going to get the business your competition is okay. So did you see how there’s a few steps here, but it’s not really taking you that much time? Obviously, the phone calls are going to take you a little bit of time. But that’s where the business is. That’s what if you’re on LinkedIn to grow your business, grow your influence, get more contracts get a bigger job than you need to talk to people. Right? And so that we’re not counting that in to the couple of 15 minutes a week that I want you to do here. Okay, so let me let me recap this a little bit. Because a simple, consistent daily practice can easily help you build your business by connecting with the right people, and then scheduling a call and continuing the conversation that you started online. Right? It’s digital marketing, the human touch, it’s still even though it’s digital marketing, it’s still human to human marketing. So let’s recap this number one, every every day or a couple times a week, review connection requests, the people icon, review your notifications, the bell icon post on your wall or share somebody’s content. You want to stay top of mind with these people as you’re building out your network, right? Review your influencer list, who are the people that are most influential to you, and see if they’re posting anything you can engage on, work your messages, and check your groups. Okay, that’s what you’re doing every time you pop into LinkedIn. Then from there, I want you to a few times a week like or even one time out of the all the times you’re logging in, right, initiate some new connections five to 10 per week. Even if you’ve got a brilliant network and based on this podcast episode, you’re checking that low hanging fruit I still want you doing this. I still want you to initiate connections because eventually you’re gonna run out right eventually gonna run Out of Your, your first degree network. So I still want you initiating connection requests every single week, what are your money tree? Okay, what are your monitoring, maybe these are people, places you want to speak, maybe, you know, again, there’s so many different places you can be reaching out to people with your, you know, initiating these connection requests. And then the last thing number eight to end Don’t skip this part is schedule five phone calls per week with people that you’re engaging with. Okay, your goal is to shoot for five calls a week. And I don’t know how many coaches I talked to, that’s how I know how to get I don’t know how to get, you know, enrollment calls, breakthrough calls, strategy calls, whatever we’re calling them today, right? I don’t how do you get them? This is how you get them. This is how you get them. Okay? It’s very simple, it doesn’t take a lot of time. So 15 minutes, a couple times a week, once a week, dive in, connect with five or 10 people. And then over that same week, make sure that you’re looking at your calendar, and you’re seeing about five phone calls a week on your calendar. If you are not, then you need to go back and see what’s not happening right? In these first seven steps that you’re not you don’t have these five phone calls a week happening. Does that make sense? You can spend a ton of time and a ton of money on marketing to the masses, right? I mean, how many times I can’t even don’t even, that’s another entire podcast, my what I stand for is for you creating quality relationships that make a big difference in your business. Fast, fast, you can go for the high ticket opportunities at any time in your business. Okay, I want you to do this and it can happen fast. This is what we teach our students in our she’s linked up program, we teach this process we dive in, we hold your hand, we help you find these people, we custom design messages for you. Grab a spot on the calendar, Karen Yankovich, calm, get you to our calendar. These are these are called these are not 15 minutes by our program calls. These are deep dive calls, we will evaluate if we think there’s a fit. It’s not and I would say we don’t offer every single person we talked to it an opportunity to join our program, we only want people to join our program that we think it’s a perfect fit for. And by that perfect fit. We want to we want to we want to know that we believe that the person that would be enrolling in our program is going to have the kinds of successes that lead them to be that wealthy woman of influence.
